This just in!.   I am checking multiple websites at multiple data centers and all are showing  PR N/A.  EVEN GOOGLE!.

Can anyone confirm this?  is the world ending?

I know that everyone dislikes Alexa stats and they are mostly inaccurate. Alexa Stats only take effect if the user had the Alexa toolbar installed or if you have the Alexa Widget on your site. Today I was looking at server stats of certain websites using netcraft.com and saw that netcraft has their own web stats as well. I took a look at their stats and they sure look a lot more convincing then Alexa’s stats do.

For Example : Netcraft.com has an Alexa ranking of 9031

Now I checked the stats of Netcraft.com and saw that they have a ranking of 860

It is the same thing on Google.com They have an Alexa rating of 2 and on netcraft.com they are rated at #1.

Now I am pretty sure that more people use Google then Yahoo on any given day.

I am very surprised that more people haven’t brought this up in recent times. I have been using Netcraft probably for the past 7 years or so. I used it because it is a good authority for determining to OS of a web-server, the server’s up-time and more usual information about the website.

If you would like to test this theory of mine your self go and visit http://www.netcraft.net . Enter your site time and then take a look at your stats. Take notice of your ranking and compare that with Alexa. Netcraft would see like it makes more sense.

Ill tell you this, I would much rather have my Alexa ratings to be true but they are not
